Angular furanocoumarins (1) were synthesized via sequential reactions of vinylation of halo-hydroxycoumarins (5 or 6) with chlorodimethylvinylsilane (8) and Pd catalyst, oxidation of Tl(NO₃)₃ in methanol, and treatment with acid.
