Studies of tris-[(dimethylbenzylsilyl)methylene]tin mono(di)thiophosphates

Twenty-five new compounds of the form (PhCH₂Me₂SiCH₂)₃SnSP(X)(OR ₁)(OR₂)(X = O:R₁ = C₂H₅. R₂ = Substituted phenyl; X = S:R₁ = R₂ = hydrocarbyl) have been synthesized. Their structures were characterized by IR, ¹H, ¹¹⁹Sn, ³¹P NMR, MS and elemental analyses. ¹¹⁹Sn NMR measurement of chemical shift have shown that there is a good linear relationship of ¹¹⁹Sn chemical shift with parasubstituent Hammett constants.
