Thiolato-bridged tetranuclear manganese(II) and iron(II) complexes, [M₄L^b₃Cl]Cl (M = Mn and Fe; H₂L^b = 2-[bis(2-mercaptoethyl)aminomethyl]pyridine), have been isolated and characterized by X-ray crystallography, which reveals an adamantane-like M₄S₆ core. Magnetic susceptibility data show an overall antiferromagnetic interaction.
