The reaction of 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane with benzothiazoline-2-thione leads to the formation of 2-(2-hydroxy-3-chloropropylthio)benzothiazole, while this epoxypropane reacts with sodium salt of benzothiazoline-2-thione to form 3-(2,3-epithiopropyl)benzothiazolin-2-one.
