The complexes MeAsH2*M(CO)n with M(CO)n=Cr(CO)5, Mo(CO)5, W(CO)5,Fe(CO)4, Fe(CO) (NO)2, Co(CO)2NO, and Ni(CO)3 are so unstable that only MeAsH2*W(CO)5 could be isolated in a pure state.They decompose with loss of CO and H2 to form oligomeric compounds of low solubility.From MeAsH2* Fe(CO)4 the cubane-like oligomer 4 is isolated and identified by crystal structure analysis.MeAsH2*Fe(CO)4 and Co2(CO)8 or C3H5Co(CO)3 formed a methyl-arsinidene cluster MeAsFeCo2(CO)9.
