In order to evaluate the steric effect of increasing the stability of the borazine ring, B-tri-2,6-xylyl- and B-trimesityl-N-trimethylborazine were prepared and subjected to Friedel-Crafts acetylation, free-radical bromination, and hydrolysis experiments.
