Synthesis by conventional methods of human growth hormone peptide fragments. I. Protected peptides corresponding to positions 139-146 and 147-156

The synthesis of 2 protected peptides which correspond to positions 139 to 146 and 147 to 156 of the human growth hormone primary structure is described. These peptides prepared by the stepwise procedure, are: Boc Phe Lys (Z) Gln Thr (Bz1) Tyr (Bzl) Ser (Bzl) Lys (Z) Phe O Me and Boc Asp (OBzl) Thr (Bzl) Asn Ser (Bzl) His (Dnp) Asn Asp (OBzl) Asp (OBzl) Ala Leu OBzl. All protected intermediates were isolated and characterized for homogeneity.
