The kinetic resolution of γ-ethynyl-,γ-allenyl- and γ-vinyl GABA was accomplished by penicillin acylase-catalyzed hydrolysis of their N-phenylacetyl derivatives. The procedure employs inexpensive commercially available immobilized enzyme.
