Reaction of allyltrimethylsilane (Sakurai reaction) with steroidal 3-oxo-4,6-dienes catalized by titanium tetrachloride has been investigated.In contrast to the analogous conjugate addition of alkylmagnesium halides catalized by copper(I) chloride only the 7α-substituted derivatives are formed.
