The structure of bromovasicol has been established on the basis of the results of X-ray structural analysis as 4-bromo-2-(3'-hydroxy-2'-oxypyrrolinomethyl)aniline.Vasicol was isolated from the plant Peganum harmala in the form of 2-(3'-hydroxy-2'-oxopyrrolidinomethyl)aniline.
