Di-, tri- and tetrachloro-substituted λ⁵-phosphorins are formed by electrophilic chlorination of 1-tert-butyl-1,3-dichloro-λ⁵-phosphorine, by thermolysis the halogenated λ³-phosphorins are obtained.
