The reaction of RhCl(PPh3)3 with nido-B10H12CNH3 in the presence of Buⁿ4NOH produced n4N>, which upon heating in methanol produced a new orange compound confirmed by an X-ray diffraction study to be the n4N>+ salt of an -NH2-bridged Rh-H-Rh dimer anion.
