The reaction of hexa-t-butylcyclotrisilane with sulfur or selenium gives the corresponding thia- and selena-trisiletanes.Oxidation of the same cyclotrisilane by oxygen, dimethylsulfoxide, or m-chloroperbenzoic acid leads to three oxidation products which posses one, two, or three oxygen atoms, respectively in the ring system.
