This paper reports on the acid-catalyzed ethanethiolysis of 3,5-di-O-acetyl-6-S-acetyl-1,2-O-isopropylidene-6-thio- α-D-glucofuranose and 3,5,6-tri-O-benzoyl-1,2-O-isopropylidene-α-D-glucofuranose.
