2,4,6-Triphenylpyrylium cation (TP⁺), a well-established photoinduced electron-transfer sensitizer, has been encapsulated in the Y zeolite as a charge-compensating cation by ship-in-a-bottle acid-catalyzed reaction of chalcone with acetophenone
