[8,9-²H₂]- and [8-²H]-(2E,6E,10E,14E)-2,6,11,15-tetramethyl-2,6,10,14-hexadecatetraene (digeranyl) (1 and 2) have been synthesized from geraniol by the condensation of geranyl p-tolylsulfone and reductive desulfonylation in the key steps.
