Among new three types of "Pd / ultra-thin amorphous-oxide(La2O3,SiO2,or TiO2) layers / ZSM-5" catalysts, prepared by a two-stage attaching technique, the La2O3-coated ZSM-5-supported Pd catalyst was found to be a selective catalyst for propane formation (68percent) from CO and H2 at 543K and 1.01 MPa.
