(14) In contrast, we observed that alcohol oxidation dominated the
product distribution during attempted hydroxylation of alcohol
substrates using the White−Chen catalyst (see the Supporting
Information for details). Benzoxathiazine catalysts have been reported
to readily oxidize alcohols (see ref 6a).
