Tin-iron carbonyl clusters from the reaction of stannane, SnH4, with Fe2(CO)9; the crystal structure of SnFe5(CO)19

SnH4 reacts with Fe2(CO)9 under restricted conditions to form the known compound Sn2 (1), and a new tin-iron cluster SnFe5(CO)19 (2).The crystal structure of 2 shows a structure with an Fe3 triangle edge-bridged by a SnFe2 one.Further tin-iron clusters are indicated.
