A new heterocyclic compound, 1,11-(etheno)-5H,7H-dibenzo<1,5>dithiocin (1) has been prepared by treatment of mono-sulfonium salt of 1,11-(methanothiomethano)-5H,7H-dibenzo<1,5>dithiocin with t-BuOK in a one step; the reactivities and the transannular p?-(>S⁺-S⁺<) interaction in 1 are described.
