Finally, it is interesting to note that chemical reactions
between ceramics based on CaO and refractory metals, e.g.
tungsten, were previously observed after a heating treatment
within the 2000–2300 K temperature range after short contact
times [2]. This observation provides supporting evidence to our
hypothesis that the runaway heating we observed at 2000 K was
due to a noticeable chemical reaction between AeO and W.

scheelite-structured orthotungstates, compounds which have a
