The reaction of n-Bu₂ZrCp₂ with non-conjugated dienes (1) containing a mono- or 1,2-disubstituted alkene at one end and a 1,1-di- or trisubstituted alkene at the other gives conjugated diene-zirconocenes 2 via multipositional regioisomerization.
