Nitrosonium tetrafluoroborate in conjunction with pyridinium poly(hydrogen fluoride) has been found to be excellent desulfurative fluorination reagent. In NO⁺BF₄^-/PPHF system, mono-fluorides and gem-difluordes have been obtained in high yields from the corresponding phenylsulfides and dithiolane derivatives, respectively. Copyright
