The infrared and Raman spectra of Cl-CH2-SO2Cl, Br-CH2SO2Cl, Cl-CH2SO2F and Br-CH2SO2F have been studied in the gaseous, liquid and solid states.A vibrational assingment of the observed frequencies is proposed fpr each molecule, and spectral evidence given for conformational isomers.
