denied from these trapping experiments. Actually,
when NaHMDS was added to a mixture of 5a and sty-
rene, the corresponding cyclopropane was not ob-
served. Furthermore, the corresponding cyclopropene
was not observed when NaHMDS was added to a mix-
ture of 5a and diphenylacetylene.
