Structures of hydrogenated unsaturated nitriles
Structure-selectivity relationship in the chemoselective hydrogenation of unsaturated nitriles
Fig. 1
This paper focuses on the next most important factor influencing the selectivity: the molecular structure of the substrate. We investigated the influence of the substitution and position of the double bond relative to the nitrile group on the selectivity for unsaturated amines. Seven different substrates (see Fig. 1) were chosen for hydrogenation tests. Considering the position of the double bond, three different groups of substrates were compared.
