The results of resistivity and magnetoresistivity measurements for U2.67Te4, U3Y5 (where Y=S, Se), αUS2, βUS2 and UTe2 single crystals are reported. The temperature dependencies of the electrical resistivity reveal semiconducting properties for all the investigated samples with the exception of UTe2. This compound exhibits a semimetallic character of its electrical resistivity. A large negative magnetoresistance effect is observed for U3S5 and βUS2, while the magnetoresistivity of UTe2 and αUS2 is not changed up to maximum magnetic field applied of 1 T. The obtained results are discussed in framework of a gradually closing semiconducting gap as a consequence of both the exchange interactions and p–f mixing effects.
