Structural studies of Nd3+ doped cadmium calcium pyrophosphate nanophosphors

The Nd3+ metal ions doped Cadmium calcium pyrophosphate nanophosphors were synthesized by solution combustion synthesis. The structural studies of prepared sample was carried out by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Field-emission scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (FE-SEM with EDX). From XRD data the average crystallite size was obtained. FT-IR spectrum reveals about the vibrational modes of phosphate molecules. From the FE-SEM micrographs spherical like shaped particles was observed.
