Reactions of platinum metal hexafluoride negative ions were studied by Knudsen cell mass spectrometry. The electron affinities were measured for OsF6(5.93±0.28 eV), IrF6 (6.50±0.38 eV), PtF6(7.00±0.35 eV), and RuF6 (6.47±0.31 eV).The relevant data on electron affinities of platinum metal hexafluorides are discussed.
