Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) emerges as an important mediator of human physiology and pathology but remains difficult to study, so it is urgent to find a sensor with high selectivety and rapidly response to detect H2S. The detection mechanism of H2S is various, and the reduction of nitro has developed rapidly in recent years. However, the reported nitro-based H2S probes still have drawback such as slow response. In this work, we introduced isoxazole to strengthen the oxidizability of nitro group, resulted in the response time significantly reduced within 55 s. In addition, this probe could be used to detect and imaging exogenous/endogenous H2S in HepG-2 cells.
