Macrocyclic musks

Macrocyclic musks are a type of synthetic musk fragrance composed of large, ring-shaped molecular structures. Unlike other musk compounds, which often contain smaller or linear structures, macrocyclic musks are characterized by their unique cyclic chemical configuration, typically containing 12 or more carbon atoms in the ring. These musks are highly valued in the fragrance industry for their strong, long-lasting scent and superior skin-friendliness, as they tend to be less allergenic and more biodegradable compared to other synthetic musks like nitro and polycyclic musks.
