    At the same time, we should eat some bitter foods in summer. The alkaloid contained in bitter foods can help us eliminate internal heat, accelerate blood circulation and expand blood vessels. We can often eat the foods like balsam pear and sow thistle to refresh ourselves and enhance appetite. In addition, we can add some spices into dishes. The spices like garlic and vinegar can effectively kill bacteria and improve digestion for human body.

    In addition, we should choose healthy beverages in summer. The herb tea like green tea and chrysanthemum tea can quench our thirst, improve eyesight and accelerate urination for us. At the same time, the herb tea can help us resist cancer and prevent decayed teeth. In fact, sweet mung bean soup is the best porridge in summer. Mung bean contains abundant protein, lecithin, carotene, riboflavin and nicotinic acid. Drinking mung bean soup can effectively eliminate internal heat, improve spleen and treat rheumatic disease for human body. If you do not like mung bean soup, you can also choose sweet-sour plum juice. Dried plum is very effective in killing bacteria, stopping thirst and dealing with constipation. Many people like to eat ice cream and drink soda in summer. In fact, the consumption of ice cream and soda is harmful to human body. Eating ice cream can decrease the temperature of stomach and intestines to cause diarrhea and bellyache. Drinking soda can hurt spleen and stomach, decrease appetite and disturb the gastric and intestinal functions. Therefore, in summer, we can drink fruit juice and water instead of soda to supplement essential nutrients and improve our health.
