As we all know, vitamins are essential nutrients to human body, which play a very important physiological role to our health. What's more, vitamin is also a good medicine for the treatment of headache, which is rarely known by people. As many reasons can cause headache, and at the same time, vitamin is a "big family" that includes various categories, so we should try to find the primary reason for the headach, and choose the right vitamin according to it, so as to achieve the optimum effect.
First, for the office workers, they often sit in the office all the year around, engaging in the filing, typing, and computer operation. Their headache is always caused by eyestrain. They can take in 0.8 to 1 mg vitamin A every day, which is equivalent to the vitamin A content in a carrot or 100 grams of liver.
Second, whether mental or manual workers, they often suffer from headache because of the arduous task, intensive labor and excessive fatigue. In such a case, it is very effective for them to take in vitamin B1, with 1.2 to 1.4 mg per day. They can also use 200 grams of lean meat or 300 grams of chicken instead of the pills.
Third, some people may suffer from depressive headache due to the tense interpersonal relationship or bad mood. These people can take in vitamin B3 to improve this symptom. 15 to 20 mg every day is enough, which is equivalent to that of 200 grams of meat or 100 grams of peanuts.
Fourth, the sudden change of the weather will result in lower blood pressure, cerebral ischemia, which may further lead to headache. Vitamin B5 has good effect to treat this type of headache, with 5 to 10 mg every day, which happens to be the content in a red trout or a cup of sunflower seeds.
Fifth, during the holiday, people tend to drink too much alcohol, and this may cause cerebral vasoconstriction and poor blood circulation, thus leading to headache. Under such a circumstance, they could take in vitamin B6, with about 2 to 3 mg per day.
Sixth, the headache during the menstruation of the women mostly has something to do with the lack of vitamin B12 in their body. As a result, supplementation of 2 to 4 micrograms of vitamin B12 every day can eliminate this symptom, or it can be replaced by 500 ml of milk.
What's more, there are some other reasons which can also cause headache, for example, the headache caused by cold, lack of sun exposure, environmental pollution and so on. We should first find the primary reason leading to the headache, and then provide right vitamins according to it.
