ALKALOIDS FROM SARCOCAPNOS ENNEAPHYLLA

Chemical investigation of Sarcocapnos enneaphylla resulted in the isolation of 35 alkaloids, 27 of which were identified as known isoquinoline alkaloids.The remainder were found to be a new aporphinoid, N-methylsecoglaucine, a new morphinandienone, (+)-O-methylpallidine N-oxide and six new cularines, (+)-enneaphylline, (+)-sarcophylline, (+)-4-hydroxysarcocapnine, aristoyagonine, secosarcocapnine and norsecosarcocapnine.Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical methods.
