Reaction of 1O2 with 4-Amino-3-pyrazolin-5-ones

The title compounds 1a-d react with ¹O2 in aqueous buffer (pH=7.4) to form the hydrazides 3a-d in nearly quantitative yields.The 1H- and 13C-nmr spectra of 3 indicate the presence of rotameric isomers at room temperature.Products 3 are investigated by means of mass spectrometry.
