Cycloaddicions of the 3.4-substituted cyclobutenes L, M with diazoalkanes RR'CN2, R = H and R' = H, alkyl, aryl or alkoxycarbonyl excusively yield syn-adducts.Diphenyl-nitrilimine and mesitonitrile oxide mainly undergo anti-addition.
