The synthesis of 1,2-bis(trimethylsilylthio)-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane 2 from 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane-1,2-bissulfenylchloride 1 is described.The partly fluorinated phosphetanes and dithiaarsolanes are prepared from 2 and 1. 19F, 13C-nmr and mass spectroscopic data of the new compounds are reported.
