DECARBOXYLATED ASCORBIGENS IN THE HEARTWOOD OF CHAMAECYPARIS PISIFERA

In addition to sawaranin previously reported, five new decarboxylated ascorbigens, 4-epi-sawaranin and sawaranospirolides A-D, have been isolated from the heartwood of Chamaecyparis pisefera, and their structures determined by spectral and chemical methods.A nor-lignan, agatharesinol, was also identified.
