Chemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization (CIDNP) evidence is presented to support the hypothesis that irradiation of 2-cyclohexenone and 4,4-dimethylcyclohexenone in the presence of amines leads to formation of the corresponding radical-ion pair via electron transfer from the amine to the enone.
