Various sulfhydryl compounds RSH (R=alkyl, aryl, acetyl, diethoxyphosphoryl and diethoxythiophosphoryl), unlike their oxygen analogs, easily attack ethyl-α-cyanoacrylate forming adducts RSCH2CH(CN)COOC2H5 with high yields.
