The chlorosilanes RSiHCl2 react with Na to give the iron silanes Cp(CO)2FeSiHRCL (Ia-Ic) (R=Et (a), i-Pr (b), t-Bu (c)), which are chlorinated by CCl4 to Cp(CO)2FeSiRCl2 (IIa-IIc).AgBF4 transforms IIb and IIc into the iron fluorosilanes Cp(CO)2FeSiRF2 (IIIb, IIIc).The structure of the new silicon iron complexes is determined by means fo their IR and NMR spectra (1H, 13C, 19F, 29Si).A correlation between the values of ν(SiH) and J(SiH) of Ia-Ic and the Taft constants ? of R is established.
