A synthesis of 7[3(3R-hydroxy-3-cyclohexyl-1-propyl)-7-oxa-1S,2S,3S,4-R-bicyclo[2.2.1]-heptan- 2-yl-5Z-heptenoic acid 1, an ω-chain saturated analogue of Thromboxane A₂ is described. The relative and the absolute configurations of the intermediates and the target compound were determined by 2D FT NMR methods.
