Mixed-ligand platinum(II) complexes of [N(SPR2)2]- (R = Ph, OPh)

The preparation of complexes of the type {Pt(R₃P)₂[(SPR₂),N]} X (R = Ph, OPh, X = Cl^-, PF^-₆) and {Pt(PR₃)[N(SPR₂)₂]Cl} is described. The new complexes have been characterized by NMR and IR, microanaiyses and in the case of {Pt(PPh₃)[N(SPPh₂)₂]Cl} by X-ray crystallography. The PtS₂P₂N ring adopts a pseudo-boat conformation.
