[Ta(p5-C5Me5)Cl2{N(2,6-Me2C6H3)}] (0.25 g, 0.50
mmol) cooled to −78°C. After stirring for 15 min,
CN(2,6-Me2C6H3) (0.07 mmol) dissolved in 20 ml of
toluene was added dropwise. The solutions were
warmed to room temperature and stirred for 1 h. The
resulting solutions were filtered and the solvent was
removed in vacuo. The residues were washed with
n-hexane (10 ml) and identified as complexes 3 (0.27 g,
89%) and 4 (0.29 g, 91%).
