4-Alkyl-3-cyano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinoline-2(1H)-thiones, used in synthesis of substituted 2-alkylthioqiunolines and thieno[2,3-b]pyridines, were obtained by condensation of cyanothioacetamide, aliphatic aldehydes, and morpholinocyclohexene.
