Three stable-isotope-labeled forms of atorvastatin, [²H₅], [¹³C₈], and [¹³C₇,¹⁵N], were synthesized. They were utilized primarily for metabolic mapping and pharmacokinetic studies of bioequivalence. Analytical assays were performed by using LC/MS/MS methodologies.
