Reaction of Glyoxal Di(tert-butylnitrone) with Benzyl Isothiocyanate

This reaction leads to the formation of three products: the expected compound 3, a 3-thioxo-1,2,4-thiadiazolidin-5-one 5, and the thiocarbamoylated derivative 10 of a substituted acetamidine derivative, which was indepently prepared from the postulated intermediates 6 and 9B.
