6-Substituted 1-hetarylamino-3-aryl-2,3-dihydro-2-indolones were obtained by cyclization of diarylglycolic acid hetarylhydrazides in concentrated H2SO4.The ability of the compounds obtained to undergo acylation was demonstrated.A cyclization mechanism is proposed.The IR, PMR, and mass spectra of the synthesized compounds were studied.
