Dimethylphenylsilyl- and diphenylmethylsilyl-vinyl carbon bonds are cleaved with ⁿBu4NF.Desilylation of 1-phenylthio-1-trimethylsilyl-1-alkenes in the presence of aldehyde moiety gives carbanion adducts.
