Treatment of sliced burdock root tissue with copper (II) sulphate stimulated phytoalexin formation.Two were isolated and characterized as (S)-12,13-epoxy-2,4,6,8,10-tridecapentayne and 1-tridecen-3,5,7,9,11-pentayne by spectroscopic methods and some chemical transformations.
